Villa Sombras Del Viento (Shadows of the Wind) is located on a direct beachfront lot in tranquil Soliman Bay. Turquoise waters and Coconut palms co exist with onshore ocean breezes to create an unparalleled atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. On the opposite side of the road is a large Mangrove nature preserve that hosts a variety of wildlife and stunning sunsets that can be viewed from almost any window.
Newly built in 2010 on the white sand beach with an oceanfront pool, this home is uniquely designed in that it can be rented as individual apartments or as an entire Villa. It offers indoor/outdoor living and dining spaces with incredible views and quality furnishings. Sombras del Viento offers a blend of natural materials (exotic woods, palapa), luxurious stone accents (marble, granite), and unique artwork that fills the home with color and flavor of Mexico.
Zone controlled air conditioning and ceiling fans will keep the Villa cool on even the warmest days when the Caribbean breezes are at bay. The housekeepers live in the onsite guesthouse and can provide as much or as little services as you wish to make your vacation the most it can be.
The house is divided into 3 independent units with plenty of space to relax. If your party is small, 2-7 guests, you can rent 1 or both of the ground floor units while the top floor is not occupied, providing excellent privacy. For 8 guests or more, you will have access to the entire Villa, 3 floors.

Sombras del Viento's pool has a wading area for small children and also comes with single and double kayaks, a paddle boat, beach toys for children, life jackets and snorkeling gear.
Soliman Bay is a very laid back residential beach community with 24-hour security, with fantastic snorkeling, kayaking, beach combing and relaxation. Guests who have vacationed here are amazed by the sunrises, sunsets, stars at night and incredibly clear water.
Soliman Bay beach is also a nesting area for 2 species of endangered sea turtles. If you are here during the summer and fall months, please be respectful of marked nests and hopefully you will be lucky enough to see a mama lay her eggs or a nest hatch. Please do not use bright lights at night or flash photography.
If you feel the need to get out and socialize, shop or dine in a restaurant, Akumal and Tulum are about 10 minutes north or south respectively. Within Soliman Bay there are 2 great restaurants walking distance from this villa. For those who want to do some exploring in the area there is plenty to do. Take a ferry ride out of Playa del Carmen to Cozumel for the day, play golf at the nearby Riviera Maya Golf Club, go for a jungle ATV ride, zipline, swim in cenotes and more!

Akumal is located about forty-five minutes south of Playa Del Carmen and twenty minutes south of Puerto Aventuras. It is divided into sub areas of Akumal, Akumal Bay, Aventuras Akumal, and South Akumal. This area was settled and developed by Don Pablo Bush and home to some of the prettiest beaches and best diving in the Yucatan Peninsula. The barrier reef that protects Akumal keeps the waters calm and gorgeous, making it a perfect vacation spot for families.
