XPU-HA BEACH, north on 307, just past the Hotel Catalonia look for the Palapa on the right with colored wrapping, turn right
One of our favorites. You can go anytime during the day and spend some time under a Palapa in comfy loungers. Swim, have cocktails and then have a wonderful meal in the outdoor restaurant. It is a nice place, so dress the part. The beach is one the most beautiful in the area. IMPORTANT: CALL AHEAD FOR RESERVATIONS!

Dona Moni has been feeding the Akumal locals for almost 20 years now. Local favorites and a cold "refresco" at a good rate. Not for the faint of heart, but an authentic meal.
On Soliman Bay, Tankah
This place is off the beaten path, but not to be missed. Local seafood, great bugers, poplar Sunday BBQ and cold beers. Bring your snorkel gear.
