Swimming beach, loungers, beds, indoor/outdoor dining. Incredible beach!! Burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and traditional Mexican. Full bar. Wonderfully prepared in a stunning setting. Very easy to spend the whole day there!!
Blue Sky Resort
Wonderful plates of salads, seafoods, pizzas and deserts. You can't go wrong at this place. Service is top notch and friendly. A beautiful setting.
Dona Moni
Dona Moni has been feeding the Akumal locals for almost 20 years now. Local favorites and a cold "refresco" at a good rate. Not for the faint of heart, but an authentic meal.
Casa Cenote
This place is off the beaten path, but not to be missed. Local seafood, great bugers, poplar Sunday BBQ and cold beers. Bring your snorkel gear. Manatee Cenote is located directly behind the restaurant. This is a freshwater lagoon that offers a winding open-water snorkeling route and a refreshing swim.
El Bucanero Ice Cream Shop
Open in the morning and afternoons/evenings, but closed for siesta during low season. Yummy cones and the kids will thank you...but eat it right away!

Great spot for a simple meal with a belizian influence that won't crush the wallet.
La Buena Vida
Nice setting on the beach. Beach/bar dining downstairs, fine dining upstairs under a Palapa roof. Varied menus with something for everyone. Good service and fun atmosphere. Great for kids and adults.
La Cueva del Pescador
A jungle spot so to speak with tasty eats and casual atmosphere. Open air dining with tables inside and out. Whole fried fish, langostinos and more. Full bar, deserts. Ask them about preparing anything you may have caught that day!

Excellent beachside restaurant with an open dining area with beach seating as well. The shrimp dishes are some of the best we have had and the wine list is well maintained. Another killer setting. This is the fine dining arm of this tri-restaurant. Breakfast and dinner in high season, dinner only in low. Beautiful verandah seating with excellent food. Full bar. Nightly entertainment with cultural shows on Thursday nights. Save this for a special night out and don't hold back, you deserve it. Reservations may be necessary.
Lol Ha Beach Bar
More than just a bar it is a popular hangout with locals and tourists alike. Great for families with kids as the choices are many. Breakfast served here in low season and the plates are big, don't be afraid to split something. Pizza available as well. Happy hour is great and the margs are STRONG.
Loncheria Akumalito
A place for locals with delicious and safe food at reasonable prices. Pollo a la Mexicano and other regional favorites. Also great are the "Aguas Frescas", fresh fruit juices that are cold and refreshing.

Oscar y Lalos
Don't let the location fool you. This place has great food in a jungle setting. Their Conch Ceviche is the best and the cervezas are inexpensive. Their specialty is seafood and a great place whether for a nice dinner or a more casual lunch.

Really good pizza and other goodies. The beers are frosty cold and if you want to get away from the beaten path, go there!!
